Graphics and Construction Studies is a subject studied by Leaving Certfifcate Apllied students in St.Tiernans. The subject has six different modules of which students will study four
Module 1: Graphics - Students learn how to sketch, draw and construct logos and how to graphically communicat their ideas
Module 2: Construction - This module is all about the world of Construction, how homes are built and gives the students an idea of what work the different trades people carry out
Module 3: Woodcraft - In woodcraft students are given the opportunity to develop their woodworking skills by completing a number of projects
Module 4: Design and Manufacture of Educational Toys - Design and make toys for children that will help their development
Module 5: Building Services - Learn how electricity, water and other services are supplied to houses
Module 6: CAD - CAD(Computer Aided Design) is used more and more in modern construction. Learn how to use a CAD package
